conferencing are available in Cisco Unified CME: ad hoc and meet-me.
Ad hoc conferences are created when one party calls another party, then either party adds one or more
parties to the conference call. Ad hoc conferences can be hardware-based or software-based, depending
on the number of parties. Hardware-based ad hoc conferencing uses digital signal processors (DSPs) to
allow more parties than software-based ad hoc conferencing, which allows three parties only.
Meet-me conferences are created by parties calling a designated conference number. Meet-me
conferencing is hardware-based only. If you configure software-based conferencing, you cannot have
meet-me conferences.
Conference barge
다자간 음성 통화 의미합니다. 시스코의 Call Manaer는 다자간 음성 회의를 위해 다음과 같이 지원합니다.
- Software based Conference
- CPU의 자원 소모가 심하므로 G.711호만을 지원하는 다자간 음성 회의가 가능
- Ad-hoc 회의를 이용할 경우 회의당 8명까지, 최대 64명의 참가자를 지원
- Meet-me 회의를 이용할 경우 회의당 8명까지, 최대 128명의 참가자를 지원
- Hareware based Conference
- 외부 Gateway의 DSP를 이용하여, 서로 다른 코덱간의 Conference를 지원
- 외부 Gateway는 PVDM을 이용하여 IOS 기반으로 SCCP를 이용하여 연동
- 아래 그림은 하드웨어 기반의 Conference Bridge를 이용할 수 있는 시스코 장비입니다.
Conference Barge는 shared line을 이용할 경우 Barge를 통해 삼자 통화가 개설됩니다. "CBarge"소프트키를 선택하여 참가하는 것이며, 이때 모든 참가자들은 Conference에 참가된 것으로 확인됩니다.
Conference chaining
다자간 회의 간에 연결하는 것을 Conference chaining 이라고 한다. 즉, A라는 음성회의가 있고, B라는 음성회의를 개설한 후 A회의와 B회의를 서로 연결하여 하나의 회의를 만는 것이다.
Conference list and drop any party, Drop last conference party (impromptu conferences)
다자간 회의 중에 현재 참가자의 정보를 확인하고 싶을 경우 "ConfList" 소프트 키를 활성화하여 정보를 확인할 수 있으며, "RmLstC"(Remove Last Conference Tarty) 소프트 키를 활성화하여 참가자를 회의에서 제거할 수 있습니다. impromptu conference는 Ad-hoc conference와 동일합니다.
